Job Description:
Lead CSA aspects ensuring design and structural integrity while meeting deadlines and budgets. Stay current with building codes and regulations, ensuring project compliance. Collaborate with contractors, mentor junior engineers, and prioritise safety. Drive high-quality CSA work, conduct structural analyses, and manage project risks.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Take charge of CSA aspects, overseeing design, analysis, and execution to ensure quality standards and deadlines are met.
  • Design Expertise: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop CSA designs, emphasising both structural integrity and architectural excellence. Ensure designs comply with building codes and regulations.
  • Structural Analysis: Perform thorough structural analyses, conduct calculations and simulations to guarantee the safety and stability of structures. Propose and implement solutions for any structural issues that arise during construction.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on the latest building codes, zoning laws, and construction regulations. Ensure that all CSA designs and construction activities align with these standards.
  • Budget Oversight: Assist in budget preparation and management, optimising CSA-related costs while maintaining high-quality standards. Identify cost-effective solutions for CSA aspects.
  • Contractor Coordination: Collaborate closely with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers, providing technical guidance and resolving CSA-related challenges during construction.
  • Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce quality control measures for CSA work. Ensure that designs are accurately implemented, and any deviations are promptly addressed.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to CSA elements of projects and develop proactive mitigation strategies to minimise project disruptions and maintain safety.
  • Team Leadership: Take on a leadership role by mentoring and guiding junior engineers and support staff, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Safety Focus: Prioritise and enforce safety protocols related to CSA activities, ensuring the well-being of the project team, subcontractors, and site personnel.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or related field .
  • 5+ years of CSA engineering experience, with a strong project management track record.
  • Proficiency in CSA design, including structural analysis and code compliance.
  • Proven project leadership, budget management, and quality assurance skills.
  • Deep knowledge of building codes and regulations, focusing on CSA compliance.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities for collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
  • Effective leadership and mentoring skills to promote safety and excellence.
  • Strong problem-solving capability for addressing structural challenges.
  • Experience in quality control to ensure CSA work aligns with design specifications.
