Quantity Surveyor – Donegal
Job Description
Our client is both private developer & main contractor
Due to increased turnover (projects both private developments + traditional contracting) in the northwest they wish recruit an experienced QS to head up your own project – typically commercial residential healthcare leisure, from €10M-50M
Reporting to Commercial Manager you will have Jr QS working alongside
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project costs and commercial reporting.
- Prepare valuations, variations and final accounts.
- Procure subcontractors and negotiate packages.
- Monitor budgets, forecasts and cashflow.
- Assess subcontractor applications and payments.
- Manage contractual issues and risk.
- Work closely with site and project management teams and design teams
- Manage Jr QS
Requirements
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
- 4-7+ years’ experience with a main contractor.
- Knowledge of Irish construction contracts.
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills.
- Excellent reporting and communication abilities.
