EHS Advisor – Athlone
Job Description
Our client is a tier one building main contractor. They wish to appoint H&S Advisor for life sciences project in Athlone.
Role:
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments tailored to the life sciences / pharmaceutical environment.
- Investigate incidents thoroughly and report findings accurately to facilitate continuous improvement.
- Develop and deliver employee training programs to promote safety awareness and compliance.
- Perform regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Create and maintain health and safety documentation, meticulously logging all relevant information.
- Ensure compliance with current safety regulations and collaborate with departments to address safety concerns effectively.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Occupational Safety and Health Management (Level 7/8) or equivalent.
- 3-7 years of relevant experience in construction demonstrating a track record of operational improvement and increased safety awareness.
- Pharmaceutical experience would be advantageous
- Advantageous qualifications include certification as a Manual Handling or Abrasive Wheel instructor trainer, along with First Aid Training.
- Previous experience in water, electricity, or telecoms civils utilities works is advantageous.
- Proficient in drafting and delivering PowerPoint presentations and conducting ongoing toolbox talks.
- Possession of relevant certifications such as Safe Pass, Manual Handling, and a full driving license
