Job Overview:

Our client, a design, manufacturing, and installation organisation dedicated to constant innovation in the building structure industry is in search of a Site Manager to manage a construction project in the Tuam and Ennis areas. Full flexibility to commute between both sites is a mandatory requirement for this position.

 

Job description:

Serving as the primary construction authority on-site, you will be tasked with overseeing the daily supervision of the construction site. Your responsibilities encompass overseeing site preparation before project initiation and ensuring the secure and efficient functioning of the site across all construction phases, from commencement to completion. The role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, ensuring project timelines and budgets are met, and maintaining high-quality standards throughout the construction process.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  •  Site Management: Plan and oversee the site setup, ensuring that all necessary facilities and resources are in place before the project launch. Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring adherence to timelines. Monitor project budgets and expenses, identifying and addressing potential issues.
  • Site Setup and Safety Compliance: Coordinate logistics, equipment, and personnel to optimise project commencement. Assume responsibility for the adherence to Health, Safety, Environment, Quality, and Security (HSEQS) protocols on-site. Implement and monitor procedures to guarantee a safe and compliant work environment. Regularly report compliance status to the Regional Director, addressing any deviations promptly.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and supervise on-site construction teams. Foster a positive and collaborative working environment. Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring productivity and quality by actively engaging with team members, addressing concerns, and ensuring that everyone is aligned with project goals and timelines.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are understood and met. Communicate project progress, challenges, and solutions effectively.
  • Quality Control: Implement and enforce quality control standards on construction sites. Conduct regular inspections to ensure work meets specified standards and regulations. Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 7+ years’ experience as a Site Manager in the construction industry.
  • Trade or Degree qualified – Construction Management or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Health and safety certification (e.g., OSHA certification).
