Setting Out Engineer Ennis, Co.Clare

Job Summary:

As a Setting Out Engineer, you will play a role in ensuring the implementation of the construction projects in accordance with contract drawings, specifications, and site surveys. Your responsibilities will encompass setting out works, resolving technical issues, and collaborating with various stakeholders to maintain quality and technical standards. This role requires full flexibility to commute between both sites in Clare and Galway.

Key Responsibilities:

• Setting Out: Responsible for site layout and dimensional controls alignment, adhering to the pertinent contract Drawings, Specifications, and Site Surveys.
• Collaboration: Engage with the company or project purchasing department to ensure purchase orders define specified requirements. Collaborate with relevant teams to strategies and execute the most efficient sequence of operations, with a strong emphasis on works control and adherence to quality standards.
• Document Management: Establish and oversee a comprehensive drawing register. Ensure subcontractors consistently utilize the latest versions of contract record drawings and specifications, fostering meticulous technical coordination.
• Technical Issue Resolution: Assess construction results and strategise the optimal sequence of operations, prioritising control, quality, and technical guidance. Raise Requests for Information (RFI) when required. Address and resolve technical issues with employer’s representatives, suppliers, subcontractors, and statutory authorities.

 Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years’ experience and proficiency in the use of surveying instruments and equipment.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with diverse project stakeholders.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to efficiently resolve technical issues.
