Location:         Swords, County Dublin, Ireland
Salary:             €70,000 – €90,000 (DOE)

Alpine Recruitment is seeking a SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR – CIVILS for an established T1 Contractor in Swords, Dublin, Ireland. Our client has been to the fore in the construction of various flagship projects throughout Ireland and abroad including sports stadiums, healthcare facilities, airports, motorways, and hi-tec/pharma/datacentres.

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Tender Management: Tender preparation process for civil projects, including meticulous analysis and selection of suitable subcontractors.
  • Subcontractor Relations: Negotiate and agree finalisation with subcontractors, ensuring optimal terms and conditions.
  • Financial Oversight:  Financial and commercial management of subcontractors throughout project lifecycles, culminating in final account completion.
  • Project Monitoring: Forecasting, target setting, and reconciliation reporting.
  • Document Control: Diligent site records and document management.
  • Variation Handling: Streamlined variation reporting and precise valuation management.
  • Commercial Collaboration: Collaborative engagement with site management for commercial influence.
  • Team Supervision: Effective oversight of Assistant Quantity Surveyors and Trainee Quantity Surveyors, Including Standard Method of Measurement approvals.
  • Cost Optimisation: Continuous improvement of cost estimation and budget control methods to reduce project expenses.
  • Contractual Compliance & Quality Control: Ensure contractual adherence and quality standards maintenance to safeguard the company’s commercial interests.

Requirements:

  • BA. degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years in civil quantity surveying.
  • Advanced skills in quantity surveying software, Excel, and IT-driven tools.
  • Understanding of contract administration.
  • Knowledge of measurement standards and IT-based quantity measurement.
  • Strong financial management capabilities with excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
