M&E Quantity Surveyor- Dublin22

Client:              

Our client is an European Building and Civil Contractor with numerous high value projects ongoing throughout Europe.

Role:

The M&E Quantity Surveyor will take commercial responsibility and ownership for the project, working closely with the Contracts Manager/Project Manager and the construction team to ensure a successful project is delivered, while maintaining relationships and maximising commercial returns and managing risk.

Responsibilities:

Management and ownership of the commercial and contractual requirements through the life cycle of the project.  Responsibility for interface Client Commercial/Contract Team.  Project Procurement including Sub-contractors.  Conduct cost and risk analysis. Review all incoming correspondence from Employers, Design Team and /or subcontractors, to identify contractually critical items and to initiate replies. Manage commercial aspects of subcontractors. Provide project costing, margin & cashflow reports. Manage project change order procedures and agree costs with client. Provide monthly valuations and certs. Agree final accounts.

Requirements:

Professional qualification in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management.  5+ years’ experience working on large scale, high headcount  & sub-contractors essential within M&E sector.  Liaise with Commercial Manager and Contracts Manager when dealing with internal stakeholders and client’s representatives while on site including attendance at meetings.  Strong time management skills.  Must have excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.  Ability to influence colleagues at all levels.  Enjoy working as part of a high performing team.
