Alpine Recruitment is seeking a JUNIOR TO INTERMEDIATE MEP QS for an established T1 Contractor in Dublin, Ireland. Our client has been to the fore in the construction of various flagship projects throughout Ireland and abroad including sports stadiums, healthcare facilities, airports, motorways, and hi-tec/pharma/datacentres.

Job Description:
Assist with cost estimation, procurement support, and contract administration, ensuring cost-effective and quality MEP project execution.

Responsibilities:

• Cost Estimation: Prepare cost estimates for MEP components aligned with project specs and budgets.
• Procurement Support: Assist in supplier evaluation and negotiation for cost-effective procurement.
• Cost Monitoring: Help monitor project expenses and identify potential cost overruns, working with senior QS on cost-saving strategies.
• Contract Assistance: Support MEP contract administration and ensure compliance.
• Value Engineering Support: Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.
• Reporting Assistance: Assist in preparing financial reports to keep stakeholders informed.
• Risk Identification: Contribute to identifying MEP-related risks and mitigation strategies.
• Documentation Support: Maintain organised records of MEP-related transactions and contracts.

Requirements:

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 1+ years’ experience in MEP/Quantity Surveying
• Proficiency in construction cost management software and tools, along with an understanding of MEP systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess cost data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
• Detail-Oriented to ensure accurate cost estimation, contract administration, and documentation management in MEP projects.
