Alpine Recruitment is seeking a General Foreman – Datacentre for an established T1 Contractor in Dublin, Ireland. Job Description:
Resolve construction-related issues and challenges. Identify and address unexpected obstacles, delays, and discrepancies in construction processes. Utilise problem-solving skills to ensure the project progresses smoothly and stays on track to completion.
Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning, Resource Allocation and Stakeholder Coordination: Develop and execute construction schedules, critical path tasks and sequencing. Manage labor, equipment, and material resources to meet project milestones within budget. Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and project managers to coordinate activities, resolve conflicts, and maintain clear communication channels.
  • Safety Compliance and Quality Assurance: Enforce and oversee adherence to safety protocols, conducting regular safety audits and addressing any violations promptly. Ensure that construction activities meet design specifications and industry standards, conducting frequent inspections and managing quality control measures.
  • Budget Control and Progress Reporting: Monitor project expenditures closely, identifying cost-saving opportunities and managing expenses to stay within the project’s financial constraints. Generate and distribute regular progress reports to project management, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and upcoming milestones.
  • Leadership, Team Management, and Issue Resolution: Lead construction crews effectively, providing guidance, training, and addressing personnel issues promptly to maintain a motivated and productive team. Utilise problem-solving skills to address unexpected challenges, delays, or issues in construction processes, finding practical solutions to keep the project on track.
  • Documentation Management: Maintain meticulous records of all construction-related activities, including permits, inspections, and change orders, ensuring comprehensive and up-to-date project documentation.

Requirements:

  • Trade qualified or/and degree in Construction Management or related field
  • 5+ years of construction management experience.
  • Strong familiarity with construction management software and project tracking IT tools.
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues, adapt to changing project conditions.
  • Strong communication skills and demonstrated leadership capabilities for team collaboration.
  • Dedication to enforcing safety protocols on-site, including relevant safety certifications.
