Alpine Recruitment is seeking a Design Coordinator for an established T1 Contractor in Dublin, Ireland. Our client has been to the fore in the construction of various flagship projects throughout Ireland and abroad including sports stadiums, healthcare facilities, airports, motorways, and hi-tec/pharma/datacentres.

Job Description:
Manage design coordination for timely delivery of critical design information for on-site work execution across DC, Pharma + Life Science sectors. Ensure compliance with regulations, maintain quality control, and facilitate effective communication among internal and external stakeholders. Projects include Datacentres, Pharma & Hi-Tec


  • Design Coordination: Collaborate with stakeholders to create project-specific design plans aligning with goals, budgets, and regulations. Review and interpret technical documentation.
  • Project Planning: Contribute to setting design milestones, budgets, and schedules. Aid in consultant and subcontractor selection.
  • Quality Control: Enforce stringent quality standards, conducting reviews and documenting changes for compliance.
  • Compliance and Regulations: Stay current with codes, ensuring designs meet local and international standards and securing permits.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Foster effective project-wide communication and facilitate design-related meetings.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain organised design documentation and provide regular progress reports.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve design challenges to ensure project success.
  • Budget Management: Assist in cost control while seeking cost-saving opportunities.


  • Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in coordinating design for construction projects, with a focus on data centers, high-tech facilities, or pharmaceutical plants.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant tools.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Project management experience is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications and licenses.
